Cayla Townes female therapist psychotherapist counsellor counselor milton ontario halton hills

Hi, I'm Cayla

Over the last twelve years I've been a therapist I have been providing individual, family, and group therapy and counselling services to people of all ages. I've worked with people from diverse backgrounds dealing with a wide-variety of challenges.

I started Memento to support people who are dealing with grief and loss, burdened by shame, want to improve their relationships, or are struggling to find the meaning in their lives.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I am also a Certified Canadian Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association. I graduated in 2011 with a M.A. in Counseling from George Fox University in Oregon, USA.

What Will Therapy With Me Be Like?

Let's find out! I believe in a tailor-made approach to therapy; every client is different and deserves unique attention and support. The most important part of successful therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. Do you feel understood? Cared for? Challenged? Heard? Safe?

It's my privilege to walk beside you on your journey.

What do you want to be different about your life? About your relationships? How do you find meaning in your life after disappointment? After loss?

Together we will face these questions and find answers to help you live your life.

I use a variety of different therapeutic approaches, tailoring them to each client and their goals. These approaches include:

Person-Centered Therapy

Spiritually Integrated Therapy

Solution-Focused Therapy

Narrative Therapy

Arts & Expressive Therapies

I am also an advocate and educator about holistic death care. I have completed further education and training focused on end-of-life issues such as advance care planning, legacy projects, and family-led funerals.

I provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, person-centered therapy.

Finding a therapist you feel understands you and your goals can be difficult.
